School's been busy the past two weeks. We've finally got my (Willie's) buses worked out. Just one bus in the morning that goes directly to school, but in the afternoon I've got a transfer so Teddy now gets home faster than me, the lucky bum. But he has to walk uphill in both directions, and come winter, when it starts raining, I'll have the last laugh.

Speaking of laughing, Teddy is laughing really hard because the Advanced Education office wrote a letter to his parents that said that they should consider testing him to put him in the program that I was in, which would mean go to Hamilton Middle School--haw haw haw. He said no way--he's not interested--he likes where he is. Especially after listening to all my horror stories about Hamilton.

I started Rocketry club during lunches once a week. It looks like it's going to be really fun and we'll get to launch stuff, which means sometimes stuff might blow up--bwaa haw haw (evil genius laugh).

If you're wondering why I'm so happy, it's because it's pizza night, and tonight papa cooked jalapenos into the pizza, and it wasn't that hot! Not only that, last night we had hamburgers and I COVERED mine in chopped up raw jalapenos and I ate them no problem.
But it was yummy.
The next week papa cooked thai chilis into the pizza--those were hotter.
 Mmmmmmm, spicy!
Kilroy was here.
Bunny ears were here!
Willie was here!
Hey--gerroff me you big lummox. I'll have you, you fiend. Just you wait, I'm small and tricksy and know where spiders live. Hmmm, that gives me an idea for bedtime tonight--bwaa haw haw!

Summer is officially over, except for the weather, which thinks summer has just begun. Papa is harassing Mommy with opening windows every night and trying to get the temperature of the house as low as possible. She is not a happy camper because she says she likes the heat. What planet is she from? Oh ya, Venus. Hmmmm.

Speaking of summer being over, we're back in school which means new schools for each of us. I (Teddy) get to walk to school--it takes about 12 minutes to get there, and involves going uphill in both directions--really. I don't have to walk thru snow in my bare feet, yet, but it is a la nina year which means it could be unusually cold and snowy. I'll believe it when I see it.

I (Willie) tried to take the bus the first two days of school, but papa and I waited for about 15 minutes after it was supposed to be there and it didn't show up so rather than me be late, he drove me. I did take the bus home (which involved a transfer to a Metro bus) but the school gave me a bus pass so it was okay. On the third day the bus came on time (miracle) and went directly to school. My classes so far have been very good. The first day, my math teacher told us that he was not going to use the book that the school district told him to because it was a piece of *@%&#! I'll have to take his word for it. He seems like a good teacher. I'm also excited to be taking Chemistry.

This is the official Baker Lake Rock Throwing Crew. What do we do you may ask?
 Throw rocks!!! KERBLAMMERS!!!!
When I'm not throwing rocks, I'm modeling for GQ in the latest in hammock-wear.
Order up, Squidward. Who wants a hot dog?
We had a lot of time at the lake to play games and such. We even made up new games like 4-way checkers with 4 different color pieces playing simultaneously.
The whole crew took a picture, but unfortunately it was after we had left. We had a great time with the Kunin's, Litov's, and the Brechner's.

Mommy and Teddy went kayaking one day and were able to see mountains from the lake.
Hey--watch where you're putting that paddle, lady!

One more shot of the rock throwing crew.

Hmmm, somebody seems to be reading over my shoulder--again. Oh Willie, do you want a marshmallow or some pudding or some chocolate? What's a guy got to do to get some space around here?
 Ahhh, that's better.
Somewhat better, but I do prefer annoying mode. Set annoyance level to stun!
 I...can't...move. I...seem...to...have...been...stunned. How...could...this...have...happened?
Mmmm, pudding--did you know that lips, face and cheeks have pudding taste receptors? Apparently papa didn't know either and sent me to wash my face after he saw this. Fascist.
Mommy's friend Dee came thru town last weekend and we went for a nice hike to a place called twin falls. We couldn't figure out why they call it that but then we came upon these waterfalls. It begins to make sense.
These were pretty nice in a gentle-not-so-raging-late-in-the-season kind of way. The hike was shady and snacks were good.
There was also a really big old growth fir that builders having realized was here and didn't build any flooring or trim out of, yet.

The best part of the weekend was after we dropped off Dee at the airport, papa was telling mommy about a taco truck near there. TACO TRUCK! ME GUSTO! DAME LOS TACOS, SOLO CARNE!
