The Willie Sol Zone

We stayed in some big fancy pants building downtown on halloween. It was spooky, but it had a nice pool and good food. I got lots of candy which papa is keeping in a safe place for me. Mommy tried to make me eat new foods. This week I got carrots (see below). How many times to I have to tell them--H-O-T D-O-G-S!!!! That's what I want.

I got mail from Nana Barbara, Cousin Richie, Auntie Margie, Auntie Rachel, Mommy, Grandma Claire, Grandpa Bob, Mark and Mildred, Bill K, Maury, Halle, The Seigels. The rest of you---you know who you are--you need to write me soon or I'll be sad. Thank you in advance and I promise to write you all back.

Why is this man so happy?
Maybe it has something to do with this bottle.
I think I will try some.
I wonder what it tastes like.
Bleecchh.
AAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!
See what carrots will do to you? Now, no more pictures.
I thought I said no pictures!
Here i am with Auntie Margie on Halloween.
I have ten tasty treats--twenty if you count my toes.
 Then a nap.

I went with Amy and Halle and Mommy to the park where I rode the big swing. It's pretty fun.

I was rooting the baseball man fishy to beat the caroon red guys and they did. papa wanted the red guys, but he always rooting for losers. I have lots of fun with my new weapons (see below). I use them whenever I have papa in close range. Pretty uneventful week other than that. Did the standard stuff, carved pumpkins, spat seeds, took the car out cruisin for ducks, you guys know the routine.

It's my first 1/2 birthday on tuesday, so keep those cards and letters coming. papa always celebrates his half birthday and i want to be just like him. Well except maybe I will have a career and be taller and stuff. Gotta go know and make my big plans for my half birthday party, and I think I have to plan mommy and papa's anniversary party. Rumor has it that the whole world celebrates by giving people like me sweet things wrapped in paper just for saying trick and treat but I won't believe it til I see it.

Well, it wasn't quiet around here at all this week -- if for no other reason than on account of the fine and resonant gurgle I've been making on account of my cold. (Baby's first cold, Mommie calls it. She has it too. So does Papa. We share everything. This is a community property state.) I didn't see Papa all day yesterday or today -- he sez he was doing something called "Boy's Weekend" but a) I don't see why he couldn't do it here and b) if it was Boy's Weekend why wasn't I invited?
Well he's not the only one who's been busy. I've been discovering some cool things that are attached to me -- toes and tongues, I hear they're called -- and they're both fun to play with. And Papa's been feeding me cereal! I like the spoon better'n the rest of it. Now MAYBE it was frosted flakes or sugar corn pops, we'd be getting somewhere. Tonight after I helped Auntie Margie plant the garden (I gave lots of advice) we all played in my room and I pushed off of Mommie and motated myself forward. I even turned left, but I didn't signal. Then we put on a hat and went to pick up Papa revelling in glow of a glorious Oakland Raider victory over the hated Denver Broncos, whatever that means.

What a wonderful weekend having the whole bed to myself.

What is this?

Food?

Yum!!!

There is some wet thing in my mouth that I just can't quite figure out. What is it?

Tell me or I'll jump.

I really mean it.

Bombs away...

Boy has it been quiet around my house. At least until today, when Papa had to go out and paint the side of the house. I could hear him crashing around and yelling and ladders banging and paint rollers squealing. How's a guy supposed to get his beauty rest? Mostly though I have had nothing but calm surroundings. I went swimming again, and kicked for nearly 45 minutes. Papa really wants me to be a baseball man so I have started doing my imitation of a bat. You'll see what I mean.
Mommie has been at work as usual and that seems to be working out nicely, except I did hear her say that she wished she could stay home with me and Papa sometimes. Thanks to Tamis, Jenna, Kathy, Retsu, Leslie, Christine, Kimberly and Jeff for keeping Mommie off the streets and out of trouble during the day.

In olden tymes (when Papa was little) the only colors they had were black and white.

Now we have lots of colors and the world is a better place.

Colors allow me to camouflage myself like a snake in the grass.

I bet you had to look really hard to see me!

Here is my cool imitation of a bat. Papa wants me to be a left handed pitcher though...

...and he won't turn me right side up until he gets his way.

I am so sweet and tasty that everybody seems to want to try me...

...Open wide!!!

Oh my, another full week. So full, that the page is a day late...sorry to all. Auntie Marcy and Cousin Avram came last Sunday, and stayed for the week. Then Nana Barbara and Cousin Richard came also and boy did we have non stop fun. We went to the Space needle and parks, and swimming, and eating. It was Papa's birthday on Rosh Hashana, October 2, and Avram's birthday October 3. Everybody has gone home now, and it sure is quiet. Avram kept me entertained whenever I got fussy, and told me EVERYTHING about the Beatles.
