Willie and Teddy's Excellent Adventure

Willie
and Teddy's Excellent Adventure

The thing we don't understand about Thanksgiving is that it's supposed to be a holiday, which means it's supposed to be fun, like a party, but it really isn't like that...it's just a bunch of waiting around and hanging around and grownups getting food ready, and then it's a bunch of people hanging around a table eating mostly food that's not so interesting.

What's so great about that?!?

Oh well, at least it was people we like, that's worth something. Our parents say, it's worth a LOT, not just SOMETHING, but they are over 30 (well, Mommy is, anyway), so they are not to be trusted. Thought that game they were playing -- Cranium -- looked like fun.

On the other hand, days off from school are fun. Staying in pajamas all day is fun. We got to do some of that. Today, though, for example, I [Willie] was in my pajamas most of the day, and then, just because I invited a friend over, I had to get dressed! How unfair is that?

Willie went with mom to a wool store and discovered something there that made him think of a job that he might actually like to have some day, but he won't tell you what it is now, so that you don't take it over before he can get to it. We also had to stop by Cartridge World, and Willie was surprised at how small the place was -- more like Cartridge Room, really. (Mommy said "Cartridge Cubicle" and papa said "Cartridge Island" -- those work too.)

Today Willie watched football with papa in the morning (miracles do happen; the Raiders won, but don't congratulate papa -- this means they lost their streak) while Teddy went to a birthday party. The highlight of the party (besides sitting in the inflatable birthday throne) was finding four quarters in the vending machine and buying...you guessed it, Pepsi.

Tonight we both had successes: Willie printed a map and document for school and it actually printed without trouble -- in color, even! -- and Teddy, who has new lace-up shoes, successfully tied his shoelace!

I beat the robot a the science center in tic tac toe, TWICE! I'm smarter than a robot! I'm smarter than a robot.

Then I had to have some time in the space capsule, at least until a whole bunch of little kids scrunched in on my turn. Why couldn't they wait on the steps?

That's okay. After the that I played bionicle games on lego.com for 1 hour and 40 minutes, that's 100 minutes, and I won the Hewki game.

Fee fie fo fum, I smell the blood of a lego man.

Alert! Alert! The giant is going to eat us. Man all battle stations.

Here's something the disney comany has not trademarked yet--a double Jo-Jo (Trader Joe's 'oreo-style' cookie) made into the shape of a rodent head. Mmmmm, chocolate rodent.

I'll take two. Make it three. Gimme them cookies!

Cookies? I'll give you something better...LOVE!

Oh no you don't! Get your lovey dovey off me you mush man!

Erase those pictures or else. Okay, you're really asking for it. I'll give you my evil glare!

Baaa, that was nuthin. I've got glasses now, so I'm not nearly so intimidated by those tactics.

Anyway, it's time to be friends so we can share HOT CHOCOLATE with MARSHMALLOWS! We became very adept at skewering the marshmallows and sucking their guts through the straw. Mmmmm, marshmallow guts.
