Willie and Teddy's Excellent Adventure

Willie
and Teddy's Excellent Adventure

Hey, where'd the SNOW go?!??

Well, it was here for a while, and boy was it great (until it wasn't any more). You'll see the pictures. Papa said he didn't believe the weather forecast, but boy was he wrong. We were just playing as usual on a Saturday morning (which means we are in our pajamas and may or may not have eaten breakfast, or was that lunch?), and suddenly Mommy said OH MY GOSH, and ran to the window. The rest is (pictoral) history.

Other historical moments this week were that we BOTH lost a tooth!

Teddy's ran into Papa's thumb and POP!, out it came. Quoth Teddy: "It felt a little weird, but it was worth it." He thanked Papa later for the "accident that worked." Willie's tooth came out in a more "natural" way, but it's as out as it can be.

Teddy says, you should see the balancing act I made for Toa Matau. (Of course, this isn't the only recent Bionicle Balancing Act. Others have been dangling all over the place, like from Teddy's bed and from the marble race.)

Willie has been continuing to improve and perfect on his various truck models. He also has asked Papa to stop removing the "inappropriate" ads from Popular Science. Willie now prefers to do that himself.

Since this turned out to be a weekend that was very much off schedule, we ate dinner at some weird times. I think this has made us more hungry. Tonight I, Willie, ate FOUR nests of Taiwan Noodles, and last night Teddy ate two big bowls of rice and when he asked for a third and it was suggested he get some protein into him, he then downed TWENTY THREE pieces of pepperoni!

Papa is hard at work on the tile again, but this time it has been a little bit more interesting to me (Willie) because he's using a LASER LEVEL that is really cool, and I got to be the tiling assistant, it goes SOOO much faster with a helper. I know I was very helpful, so I don't quite understand why I haven't been paid.

Our parents started belting out Shabbat songs after dinner the other night, yawwwnnn. I (Willie) chimed in once in a while, sometimes to add my own words (tee hee). Mostly I can do without that stuff. Hebrew school is more than enough, thanks.

Mmmmm, Lacia-potatoes--they're even good reheated--pass the salt!

Some of the many faces of Willie

And one real one...or is it?

I'll tell you what I flip for--BIONICLES--see?

I flip for Legos. I'll assemble legos for food. Or even for nothing. Or maybe you can give me your legos to assemble for you, and then I'll keep them. Yeah, that's the ticket.

SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!

Heh heh heh, bring on the unsuspecting bystanders!

Even after all the other snow melted and it rained all night, our snow boulder survives!

The end result of multi layers of snow coverings and playing outside in snow for a LOOONG time--Snow Hat Head.

Hey you crazy Bionicles, get off my marble race. Wait your turn you naughty Bionicles.

Tonight we decided to just read to ourselves. Of course, it wasn't long before that turned into running around the house and vaulting off furniture, but Mommy was a little shocked at being given the reading night off, especially because she had the night off last night too. Papa read to us then but we suspect he just wanted to hang out in front of the fireplace--one of the warmer places in the house.

WARNING: The following pictures may cause nausea and dizziness. Viewers should proceed at their own risk.

Papa's been tiling again, this time with the help of the laser level, because he wouldn't know a straight line if it whacked him over his furry head.

No, that's not blood covering the walls (or sweat and tears either). It's some waterproof paint-on-able membrane. We just hope it works or it will be raining on the fridge. Oh, nice work Papa. You look like you're getting the hang of this.

Will work for Diet Coke. Literally.

Shower surround is pretty much done, except for the finishing touches like wall to ceiling and floor transitions and grout and sealer...

...and trim pieces and more Diet Coke. Anyway, this week is the bathroom counter, the rest of the wall tiles and hopefully those finishing touches. Then maybe a toilet! But don't get your hopes up. We've waited this long after all.
